Time Periods
The Ancients - Forgotten time of unreplicable Achievements.
The XXXX Year Blank/Void/The Void Century - A period of forgotten times that detached The Ancients from documented, recent history.
The Old Kingdom - Chaotic time of division and turmoil.
The War - A great conflict of disaster that swallowed the known world.
The Modern Kingdom - Stable time of unity and prosperity. The conventional setting for the game.
Faction, Culture & People
Note: The following terms each somewhat constitute all three types.
Culture
The Knightly Orders - Groups of people devoted to a cause and/or servitude.
The Light - An ambiguous faith of everything good bordering on religion and philosophy.
Faction Power
The Church - The prevailing religious force. Not to be mistaken for the clergy.
The Academy - The prevailing moderator and progenitor of all magical affairs.
The Orthodox - The commonly accepted: (i.e. morals, senses)
The Unorthodox - The commonly rejected: (i.e. taboos, discrimination)
The Tribes/Clans - The civilizations/societies outside of the conventional kingdoms.
The Hidden Society - The secluded societies.
The Far Lands/East/West/North/South - A isolated society rarely in contact with the conventional kingdom.
People
The Great Sages - A group of geniuses and/or philosophers.
The Holiness - The leading figures (spiritual) of an ideal.
The Overlord - An villainized, faction figure of an unknown, if not otherworldly foriegn race, culture, and/or civilization. Notably appropriated characteristics are the fundamental opposition in the innocents’ values, failure to understand or emphasize humanly and exercises the utmost savagery. Occasionally a literal personification of the force of nature. Regardless of accuracy, the existence of The Dark Lord implies ambition which upsets the status quo. Thus attracts animosity, sometimes by The Academy, sometimes by The Church, sometimes by The Modern Kingdom. Without differences, a rational for just opposition is fabricated.
The Nobility - The privileged men/folks, commonly educated (with resounding reasons).
The Mass - The common men/folks, commonly uneducated (with resounding reasons).
The Goblin - An ostracised identification of people with “inhuman” features that cannot even be accurately ascertained by The Acadamy. Hence forth have birthed many prejudices that self-forfills. Meanwhile, ostracised individuals bond and form their own culture detached from The Modern Kingdom.
